Audio Engineering 101
In this course students will learn the essential tools to begin a career in DJing. This course will cover the following:

- Software and Interface setup and management (Students will learn how to use VDJ and decide what settings best work with their intentions)
- Music theory and history (Students will learn some music history about the evolution of DJing as well as key skills and techniques to give a better understanding of the music and various concepts in DJing)
- Counting (Students will learn how to count and pace music to assist with timing mixes)
- Transitioning (Students will learn how to transition between songs with and without mixing)
- Mixing & Blending (Students on the bachelors level will receive an introduction to mixing and blending applying skills learned from previous weeks lessons. A more in depth focus on this will be available in the masters class)
- Mic etiquette and crowd control (Students will learn how to engage during sets and produce the correct energy for the occasion)
